GGSN

Gateway GPRS Support Node - part of the GSM infrastructure, the GGSN is responsible for the interoperation between the GPRS network and external packet switched networks.

 

Global Technical Support Manager

The Global Technical Support Manager is the ultimate technical escalation point for ALL tickets. He/She is also responsible for owning the Tiered Support Processes, communicating escalation contact details, looking after the Service Desk team.

GSM

The Global System for Mobile Communications is a standard developed by the European Telecommunications Standards Institute to describe the protocols for second-generation digital cellular networks used by mobile devices such as mobile phones and tablets.  It was first deployed in Finland in December 1991. By the mid-2010s, it became a global standard for mobile communications achieving over 90% market share, and operating in over 193 countries and territories.
