A Final Negative notification is returned when SAP Mobile Services cannot deliver a particular message and will not attempt a retry. The returned status code indicates to the customer whether the message is retriable or not, in which case the customer can initiate their own retry process. Note: Certain operators charge for retry attempts. It is therefore recommended that you consult with your Account Manager to understand any specific caveats on retries in your market. There are no additional notifications sent after a final negative status.
Final Positive Notification
A final positive notification is returned when the message has been delivered to the operator?s SMS-C (when no handset Ack is requested or the operator does not support handset Ack) or to the handset (when a handset Ack is requested). In both cases, the status is final and no additional notifications will be sent for that message.
Free to End User (FTEU)
Summary: End users can send messages to the short or long code without being charged by the mobile operator. These fees are paid by the content provider/customer. Detailed Description: An FTEU program is any program to which the subscriber opts-in, with the result that the subscriber receives Mobile Terminated (MT) SMS/MMS messages for which they do not incur any premium or standard messaging charges from their wireless carrier. The subscriber may interact with the service by sending SMS/MMS messages (including, but not limited to, messages for the purpose of opt-in, opt-out and requesting help). The wireless carrier may, at their discretion, charge the subscriber at standard messaging rates for Mobile Originated (MO) messages to the program.
