The Russian Federation has four main mobile operators:

  • MTS
  • BeeLine
  • Megafon
  • Tele2.

TPOA Registration needed and what are the average delays?

  • Megafon & MTS require registration. The registration process can take up to one week and will incur charges.

Specific TPOA comments

  • Alphanumeric TPOAs are supported on Tele2 and Beeline.
  • TPOA egistration is required for Megafon & MTS.
  • TPOA requirements for national & international traffic may differ.
  • Long codes have been banned for use as Sender ID and will always fail.
  • Traffic with numeric, shortcode and unregistered Sender IDs is filtered and TPOAs may be overwritten (with the operators generic TPOA) to ensure successful message delivery to these operators.

  • Gambling traffic is not permitted and any traffic of this type will likely be blocked by the operators and so will not be delivered.
  • Social invites are not permitted and any traffic of this type will likely be blocked by the operators and so will not be delivered.
  • Messages containing URLs may be classified as SPAM and be blocked by operators.
  • It is the customer’s responsibility to comply with all the rules and regulations as stated in the Code of Conduct and as specified by the operators themselves. Please refer to the material published by the relevant regulatory bodies.
