Mobile Operators

Mexico has three main mobile operators:

  • Telcel
  • Movistar
  • AT&T Mexico.

The MVNOs run under the Telcel and Movistar Networks.

Opt out is required and the customer is responsible to provide support for Opt Out BAJA/STOP messages.

Regulatory Information

It is the customer’s responsibility to comply with all the rules and regulations as stated in the Code of Conduct and as specified by the operators themselves. Please refer to the material published by therelevant regulatory bodies.

  • In order to provide the connection customers will need to describe the service and send the terms of use to the end-user - where end users allow them to send messages to their mobile numbers.
  • SMS must not be used for marketing or research for any political, religious, alcohol related or adult themed purposes.
  • Mexican mobile numbers should not be used to send marketing, 1-way, or application-to-person (A2P) traffic.
  • Certain A2P content such as URLs and brand names may be blocked when sending from Mexican numbers.
